RAMSAFE Technologies Renamed Previstar
Company Announces New Name and New Capabilities

RAMSAFE Technologies, Inc., announced today the company has renamed itself Previstar, Inc. (www.previstar.com).  At the same time, the company introduced the latest release of its innovative incident management technology, the Previstar Continual Preparedness System (CPS).

"Our new name signifies a major step for our company in direction and capabilities," says Previstar CEO and President Keith Stringfellow.  “We offer the only intelligent resource and information management system built from the ground up to enable any jurisdiction or organization to become compliant with the National Incident Management System (NIMS) guidelines.

The Previstar Continual Preparedness System automates processes, intelligently manages interrelated resources, and provides constant, detailed, up-to-date information on everything from personnel and equipment to facilities and supplies.  With industry-specific applications for public health, emergency management, and public safety, Previstar provides the industry’s most comprehensive software to optimize planning, response, recovery and reimbursement.

Organizations have used Previstar to prepare for bioterrorism attacks, to protect citizens and athletes at the Salt Lake City 2002 Olympics, and to recover from the multiple 2004 Florida hurricanes and Hurricane Katrina.

The Previstar CPS incorporates core software developed at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and capabilities gained through years of experience, including recovery and reimbursement modules built for the City of New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.   And Previstar works with existing systems and infrastructure, protecting current investments.

"Although the name has changed, we will continue to provide the high level of service and support our users have come to expect," says Stringfellow. "We recognize that our system is key to managing and responding to events, whether it is a manmade or natural disaster, a public health crisis, or a first responder need. When lives are at stake, nothing less will do."
