Martha Braddock Joins Previstar Advisory Board

(Alexandria, VA) - September 25, 2007 - Previstar, a leading provider of emergency management software, has announced that Martha Braddock is joining its Executive Advisory Board.

Ms. Braddock has over 30 years experience in emergency management, including 15 years in senior executive positions at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), under three different Administrations. From 1999 to 2001 she served as the Director of Intergovernmental Affairs, working to strengthen the ties between federal, state and local emergency management agencies, associations of elected officials, various federal agencies and the White House.

"Given the unique requirements at the national, state and local levels, Martha's expertise is invaluable as we work to better serve these entities," said Keith Stringfellow, President and CEO of Previstar. "Her work with both the legislative process and the needs of service providers adds yet another layer to her expertise.

"She intimately understands the inner workings of homeland security, appropriations, disaster recovery and mitigation. Between this and her work as a consultant to associations, corporations and universities--which puts her at the epicenter of emerging industry concerns--Martha is uniquely able to help us meet the needs of our clients."

Ms. Braddock served on staff of the Congressional committee which wrote the bill that led to the formation of FEMA and became FEMA's first Director of Congressional and Legislative Affairs. Later during the Clinton Administration she directed the Congressional interactions related to over 300 Presidentially-declared disasters and emergencies, including the great Midwest floods, the Northridge (California) earthquake, numerous hurricanes, and the Oklahoma City terrorist bombing.

She currently serves as Policy Advisor and Washington Representative for the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM), which named her an Honorary Lifetime Member in 1986 and has awarded her Presidential citations of merit for her contributions to emergency management. She assists colleges and universities to strengthen their emergency planning, to obtain FEMA disaster reimbursement, and to make their campuses more disaster resistant. She is a frequent speaker for state and regional emergency management organizations and national organizations.
